Name: Agri Palani
Study course: Civil Engineering
School: Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Science

Q: You are a student of Civil Engineering, why did you choose this course?
A: I simply like to build, the building industry is quite popular. You can walk straight into work after you graduate and that is a good thing.

Q: A lot of people think of Engineering as “incredibly” difficult, what is your opinion?
A: Totally nonsense, anyone can do it. If you are serious and manage your time it’s not difficult.

Q:How do you see the level of math and physics compared to high school?
A: The physics isn’t much harder, but in math it’s a lot of new things and definitions. The difficulty is really the tempo and the amount of material we have to deal with.

Q: In a normal day, how many hours go to school?
A: All day! Hehe, I mean most of the day everyday, except one day. That day is a off-day.

Q: What are your expectations when you finish your education?
A: The big goal is a job of course, and within the construction industry.

Q: A last question — what are your tips for future engineering students?
A: Think well before you make any decision. Choose what interest you and don’t follow others opinions. In short choose what you are good at and what you like. When you have done that, make the most out of your study time and enjoy it!
